This happened near the 87000 block of Dukhobar near Crow Road around 8:30 p.m.
Lane Fire Authority responded, and though there are no hydrants in the area, officials say that didn’t slow them down.
“This is something that we practice for, and quite honestly we’re pretty good at. We work on a tender shuttle. We carry 3,000 gallons of water in each one of these, and we can put them on the road and be just as efficient as a hydrant,” SAID Lt. Tressa Miller, Lane Fire Authority.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire, but Miller said a heating lamp for baby chicks was on at the time. The barn was a total loss.
