Fire Destroys Goshen Home

GOSHEN, Ore –Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze that destroyed a house late Thursday night in Goshen.

The Goshen Fire Department says it got the call just after 11 p.m. Thursday night.

According to the house’s residents, everyone had just gone to bed after putting out a small fire in their backyard, only to be woken up by their cats to another blaze, which quickly spread.

The family was able to make it out safe, but two cats were lost in the fire.

Both the Goshen and Pleasant Hill Fire Departments responded, and put out the fire within twenty minutes.

The exact cause of the blaze is still being investigated, but the residents think someone may have started it.

We really appreciate the Pleasant Hill and Goshen fire department. They helped us when we had an electrical fire. They are the best.
