Firework Ban Will Not Take Place

EUGENE, Ore. — Despite previous safety concerns, Eugene will not be placing a ban on fireworks in the coming weeks. Although officials considered restricting fireworks in areas with high fire risk, the Eugene Fire Department says that recent cool, damp weather has lessened the risk.

Fireworks officially went on sale June 23 and can be legally purchased until July 6.
