FLORENCE, Ore. — Two juveniles were severely burned by an explosion involving fireworks near Florence.
On Tuesday a group of juveniles poured gasoline into an underground tank on Hemlock Street in Glenada, Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal Sean Barrett said.
The next day, they dropped a lit legal fountain firework into the tank and it exploded, burning two of them.
Both were taken to the hospital. One had second-degree burns and was treated and released.
The other was later transported to Portland to be treated for burns on their face and right hand and is in stable condition.
