SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — The first birth of the new year at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center was a special one.
Gracie Madison Stone was born 6lbs 14oz and 19.5 inches long.
Both of her parents work as nurses at the hospital, and Gracie’s mom, Cari, was actually on duty when she started labor Tuesday morning.
She called in help to relieve her shift and then was off to the birth center upstairs.
Gracie’s dad, Paul, rushed from home and arrived just in time to be with Cari to welcome the healthy Gracie.
Congratulations to the entire family.
