EUGENE, Ore. — Nearly 200 flags are flying high over the south side of Hayward Field.

It’s all to make participants of this year’s IAAF World Junior Championships feel a little more at home.

There are 177 flags–one for each country that will be represented come July.

Hayward will host thousands of international athletes, the best in the world under 20 years old. All will most likely be representing their country in Rio during the Olympics.

The World Junior Championships were last held in Barcelona in 2012. Now it’s Tracktown USA’s turn to provide a warm welcome to these incoming guests.

The World Junior Championships will be held July 22-27.
