Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Evening Forecast Discussion:
Little to no clearing tonight as the valley was socked with fog today. Highs only into the low 50s and we’ll see what clearing did occur fill back in overnight for a foggy start to gameday. Speaking of, if you’re headed to the University of Oregon for ESPN’s Gameday show, it starts at 6am and this is what you can expect:
As for weekend football, both the Ducks and Beavers are in town with big matchups. Ducks kickoff against UCLA at 4p, under mostly cloudy skies and temps around 57. Meanwhile, the Beavers will see partial clear skies and temps in the low 50s for kickoff against Stanford at 7:30p.
Early next week, a big push of cold, Canadian air heads into the Eastern half of the Pacific Northwest, and as winds turn more offshore, we’ll pull in that cooler air. That will chop highs back into the 50s next week and overnight lows will fall below freezing for the first time this Fall, but its a cold, dry air, so we’ll continue on this dry trend. A weak cold front may try to bring some showers Halloween night, we’ll keep an eye on that scenario as we go into next week.
Have a great weekend!
