Food Bank Collecting Apples

EUGENE, Ore. — Food For Lane County‘s drive to produce 10,000 jars of applesauce is off to a good start, but it still needs help to get there.

On Saturday, volunteers helped pick apples at King Estate Vineyard outside of Eugene. They picked just over 8,400 pounds of apples, but they need more.

The goal is to have 25,000 pounds of apples so they can make them into applesauce next month.
