Forest Adjusts Fire Restrictions

ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Umpqua National Forest removed public use restrictions on campfires, smoking, chainsaw use and the use of other internal combustion engines Wednesday.

Officials say the change in weather and fuels allowed for the end of public use restrictions.

The fire danger level in the Umpqua National Forest remains high, so visitors are reminded to be careful when building campfires.
