EUGENE, Ore. — Election Day is less than a month away and the deadline to register to vote is even closer.
Voters have until Tuesday to make sure they’re eligible to decide the fate of several measures on this year’s ballot.
Residents can submit a form to the elections office by 4 p.m. or mail in their cards with a postmark no later than April 30.
“We will have a county measure, a city of Eugene measure, 4J School District and some other smaller community measures, so those are important things for people to have a voice,” said Cheryl Betschart, Lane County Clerk.
But to have that, you have to register to vote first.
People with a valid Oregon Driver’s License, ID card or learner’s permit can also apply online up until 11:59 p.m. that night.
The Special Election is May 21.
