VENETA, Ore. — Around 30 Fern Ridge residents gathered at a Veneta church Saturday to receive free health care. The event featured dental, primary care, and even a warm meal for anyone in the Veneta area.
One organizer said he frequently sees patients in the emergency room who don’t have access to primary care, which is why he got involved.
“So it’s kind of good to be able to addressing some of those primary care needs rather than just you know fixing problems as I do in the emergency department ,” said Dr. William Foster, volunteer.
These events are offered twice a year. The next one will be in November.
