James Dahl suffers from Rasmussen’s Disorder, which causes him to have seizures. Dahl’s grandmother, Tami Southerland, says the public event will greatly encourage him. The donations from tonight’s event will go towards medical and traveling expenses. The family also made t-shirts as part of the fundraiser.
“Lets do something fun around that. Let’s have a function and people can give donations and come and eat and send James off with lots of love and prayer and support,” said Southerland.
The fundraiser is Sunday July 14 from 5-8 p.m. at the Irving Grange in Eugene.
The family also set up a website online to help fundraise.
