The fairgrounds hired consultant Laura Niles to look at the history and current model of the fairgrounds to get a feel for where to go next.
Niles says even with hard economic times, the fairgrounds have managed to stay afloat.
“The Lane County Fairgrounds has actually continued to stay fairly steady, has continued to attract activities there. It’s a dizzying actual number of events and actually kinds of events that take place there,” Niles said.
Niles says even though the fairgrounds is doing pretty well, it will be tough to move the location completely because it would be too expensive.
