Drivers in the Pacific Northwest will likely see the highest gas prices in two years.
Nationally, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $3.66, but it’s 30 cents higher in Oregon. In the Eugene-Springfield area it’s about at $3.98 a gallon, and that’s frustrating for drivers.
AAA says there are a number of factors behind the recent spike including crude oil prices and the conflict in Syria. Also, refineries are switching from winter to summer fuel blends, which raises production costs.
