EUGENE, Ore. — The city pumped out the pride Saturday with loud tunes, vendors and hundreds of supporters. It’s the 32nd Eugene-Springfield Gay Pride Day at Alton Baker Park.
Organizers say it’s one of the longest-running pride celebrations in the United States. One of the reasons supporters were excited this year, the support of Springfield Mayor Christine Lundberg.
“Really turning the tide and really making Springfield an affirming and accepting place for residents. So we are really happy she was here,” said marketing coordinator Paul Homan
HIV alliance provided free HIV testing for any attendees.
