GM, AT&T Team Up to Make Cars Wi-Fi Hots

(CNN) — Forget the coffee shop, your car could be your next favorite Wi-Fi hot spot. General Motors and AT&T are teaming up to add 4G wireless service to several vehicles in the U.S. and Canada.

Starting next year, the system will be available on 2015 model Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars and trucks.

GM says the feature will allow you to ditch the DVDs and stream video to the back seat. It will also boost GM’s OnStar navigation system, allowing real-time traffic updates.

No word on how much the service will cost.
