They’re not bad golfers. They’re playing 100 holes.
It’s all a part of the third annual golf marathon put on by the Feynman Group, a local web design company. Twenty-nine golfers signed up to support CASA, a nonprofit that promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children.
Each player has to raise at least $1,000 to participate.
“A thousand dollars each is significant because that’s what it takes to train and support one CASA volunteer for an entire year,” said Jill Mestler, CASA Event Coordinator.
“We understand a little bit about the foster care system and understand what it takes to be a part of that and feel that CASA does a lot of good work,” said Scottie McConnell, Feynman Group President.
Altogether the group raised $40,000 this year.
