EUGENE, Ore. — The scene of a car accident can be a chaotic one, especially if there are passengers trapped inside. To make sure responding crews are as prepared as can be, the Goshen Fire Department ran its annual training event this weekend in Eugene.
The B & R Autowrecking yard was transformed into a classroom for firefighters from all over Oregon. About 30 different departments participated in a variety of car accident rescue scenarios.
The event costs about $16,000 to run and the firefighters fund it themselves along with generous donations from a number of different businesses. If you’d like to help out, contact the Goshen Fire Department.
