The Rock & Purr Adoptathon happened at Greenhill Humane Society.
There were live music and games.
Greenhill Humane Society says the summer is a very busy time for them, with lots of strays coming into the shelter, so they held the event to offer people a fun way to adopt.
“We’re trying to get as many animals adopted as possible, and we’re hoping that members of the community who have never been out to our shelter before find a reason to come out,” said Greenhill employee Jaclyn Rudebeck.
“I feel really good about it because I know a lot of cats are strays, so I want to help with the animals and stuff,” said cat adopter Tea McKnight.
