Group Pushing for GMO Labeling

FoodSALEM, Ore. — The consumer advocacy group Oregon Right To Know is working to require all GMO products in the state to be labeled.

On Thursday, the Oregon Supreme Court certified a ballot title for the groups plan to try and get its GMO labeling initiative on the November ballot. The group released a statement saying, “It’s a huge win for Oregon families who care about where their food comes from.”

This comes after a bill signing in Vermont on Thursday, making that state the first in the country to require labeling of GMOs.
