Groups Fundraise to Help Disabled Kids

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Two Springfield nonprofits are joining forces to help raise funds for disabled children.

The A Team Justice League and The Arc of Lane County both work to provide support and services to disabled children and their families.

The A Team Justice League, a group made up of moms, will be holding a garage sale out of The Arc’s building this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s located at 4181 E St, Springfield, OR 97478.

The money will help them buy items their children need that insurance just won’t cover and a little something more.

“Raising a child with disabilities can be very isolating, and so part of what we do at the A Team is get parents together. So this sale is that also. It’s getting people together, you know. It’s getting awareness out there,” said Jessica Cagle-Faber, Group Secretary.

Anything left over will be donated to The Arc of Lane County to use in their other programs.
