Hailstorm to Blame for 11-Car Crash

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — Oregon State Police say an intense hailstorm is to blame for an 11-car crash on I-5 between Roseburg and Myrtle Creek.

It hit Monday just after noon. A car headed south lost traction going up Roberts Mountain.

A sheriff’s deputy tried to avoid that car but lost control and hit the median.

A semi ended up hitting the patrol car, and a handful of other cars piled up.

No one was seriously hurt.
