Harrisburg Students Learn About Weather

video preview image

HARRISBURG, Ore. – The first grade students at Harrisburg Elementary School are getting their first lessons in meteorology this week.

Meteorologist Melissa Frey stopped by and met with these 75 first graders in Ms. Bowers, Lang and Sims classes who were eager to learn about weather.

After learning about what it’s like to be a meteorologist, these students were ready to roll up their sleeves and begin experimenting with the power of hot and cold air.

If you would like one of the Stormtracker 9 Meteorologists to visit your school, or you have a question for them, you can reach them on our Weather in the Classroom page here.
