Hearts for Hospice, a resale shop, will hold its grand opening this week. Run completely by volunteers, they say it’s taken about two years to get the place going.
All the proceeds go directly to help six local hospice programs.
“These extra programs that the insurance doesn’t pay for is a vital part of making the whole hospice experience for these families a good experience,” said volunteer Betty Gullickson.
The shop will be open Friday, Dec. 14 until 8 p.m. for the art walk. Saturday will be its last day this year. It will reopen the first weekend of January for the holidays.
