High pressure is in full force and our temperatures are climbing fast. Despite starting out in the 30s in the Valley, Eugene was up to 52° by 9 a.m. High temperatures will top out in the mid 70s in the Valley, upper 60s and low 70s at the Coast and low 80s in the Umpqua Basin.
This ridge of high pressure will keep us warm, dry and sunny through the end of the week. Wednesday and Thursday will be the warmest days with highs in the mid 80s in the Valley, upper 80s in the Umpqua Basin and low to mid 70s at the Coast.
This high pressure will slowly begin to break down by the end of the week which means its back to the 70s for Friday and 60s for the weekend. Showers are likely to return by Sunday.
Have a great day and stay cool this week! ~Meteorologist Melissa Frey
