Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
The cold front bringing the end of the deep freeze is moving through tonight. So far, only reports of light icing around Philomath have been the trouble spots. Otherwise, temps got into the upper 30s today, thus just good old fashioned rain for the rest of Western Oregon. Tonight, lows will only fall a degree or two into the mid to low 30s, but some roads may still be a little slick overnight. Passes and the Cascades will see a couple of inches of snow by Friday morning.
Friday the warmer air will take hold and push highs back into the upper 30s and low 40s with some spotty rain showers. By the weekend, its back to a more seasonal forecast, highs in the 40s and low 50s and showers on and off. In fact, we don’t see anymore really cold air coming in the next 7 days or so, next weekend, there’s a chance for some icy shots again but we’ll get into that as we get closer next week.
Have a great Friday!
