METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
A Flood Warning remains in effect for the Coquille River at Coquille and Myrtle Point. A Flood Watch remains in effect for most of western Oregon as rivers rise due to the recent heavy rains.
We’ll be in between systems Sunday, but we’ll still have showers and sunbreaks throughout the day as the atmosphere unstable. Winds will pick up again along the coast Sunday afternoon, so a High Wind Warning is in effect for the coast and coast range from 1 p.m. Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday. Winds will be out of the southwest 35-45 mph with gusts 70-75 mph.
Heavy rain returns Monday afternoon as one of three storms move through. The following two storms will move in Tuesday and Thursday. Snow lines will remain around 3,000 feet, before dropping to 2,000 feet by Thursday, bringing some welcoming snow to the ski resorts.
Have a super Sunday!
