Meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn’s Forecast Discussion:
Like the Beatles say: “Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it’s alright”. High pressure builds in for Mother’s Day, bringing the return of sunshine and warm temperatures. After some patchy fog in the morning, skies will be mostly sunny with temperatures climbing into the low 60s along the coast and near 70 inland.
Temperatures continue to climb Monday with the continuing sunshine; highs will top out near 70 along, mid 70s in the Willamette Valley and low 80s in the Umpqua Basin. Temps don’t stop there with Wednesday and Thursday being the hottest days; the coast will be in the mid 70s, Willamette Valley in the mid 80s and the Umpqua Basin near 90 each afternoon.
Temperatures cool down next weekend, where we’ll also have the chance for some showers. The storm doesn’t look too impressive yet, so we’ll at least see an increase in clouds Saturday into Sunday.
Have a magnificent Mother’s Day!
