EUGENE, Ore. — A high-speed chase through Eugene ended with three arrests Thursday night.
The chase started in west Eugene when Lane County deputies spotted a stolen car.
The chase ended at 16th Avenue and Polk Street near the Lane County Fairgrounds.
There were three people in the car, including the driver. Once he stopped at the Four Season Townhouses, he ran.
Eugene police used a K-9 to track the suspect into a nearby building where he was arrested. They walked him from the building to the patrol car, ending a lengthy pursuit.
“This guy come through the street and turn right. There was a cop. There was another cop coming on the other side of the car. He missed him and then guy ran through the neighborhood,” said Cod, a witness.
At times speeds reached 50 miles per hour through town, and it took officers about an hour to catch the suspect.
