EUGENE, Ore. — A high-speed chase ended with two arrests Wednesday afternoon, after police pursued a mid-sized U-Haul truck.
Police have closed the north and southbound lanes of Northwest Expressway, between Awbrey Lane and Irvington Drive to traffic while they investigate.
Multiple agencies were involved in the chase, which started around 3:20 p.m. and ended at 4 p.m.
Police took the driver and passenger into custody. It’s unknown if there were any injuries.

last one of those I drove had a governor on the throttle… the thing only went 60, even when the pedal was smashed to the floor.
THAT hardly qualifies for “high speed” chase.
The 3 OSP troopers coming off beltline headed to irvington were the most exciting thing about the whole chase… especially when they opened up those chargers on all three of them once exiting the off ramp. nice sound to them.
