Home Depot Donates to Autism Research

HOME DEPOT LIGHT BULBEUGENE, Ore. — Home Depot is shedding some light on autism research this month.

Stores all over the nation are donating one dollar from every blue Phillips light bulb purchase to research with Autism Speaks.

There’s a display table set up at the entrance of the store on Seneca and West 11th in Eugene.

Employees say it’s a good way for the company to give back to the community.

“It is actually tremendous. When you look at the fact that this is done throughout the Home Depots throughout the United States in every one of our stores, simply just a dollar for these adds up tremendously,” said Chuck Shaw, Department Supervisor.

The store will make donations from bulb sales through the end of the month. They range from $3 to $8.
