Homicide Investigation Needs Public Help

REEDSPORT, Ore. — The Douglas County Major Crime Team is continuing its investigation into a homicide Sunday morning.

Around 8:20 a.m. a couple was walking in the Winchester Bay Wayfinding Point area, along Highway 101, when they discovered a body of an adult female.

The couple called the police. Emergency personnel from several law enforcement agencies and the Rural Fire Protection District responded to the scene.

Initial investigation indicated that the homicide occurred that morning.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in this case, including information about any suspicious persons or activity at Winchester Bay Wayfinding Point and the surrounding area.
