Honor Flight Film Coming to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Local veterans rights advocates are pushing for the public to buy tickets to a Springfield showing of the film “Honor Flight.”

The film is about veterans taking a trip to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

For the organizers of the film screening, it’s a chance to truly appreciate the service of World War II veterans.

“This is our chance, 70 years late, to finally recognize what they did for our nation and for the freedoms we still enjoy today,” said Mike Pungercar, project manager.

The film is set to premiere on Feb. 21st with two showings at the Gateway Cinemark 17. Tickets for that film are $10 and are only available online. They must sell at least 80 tickets by Feb. 12 in order to confirm each of the Springfield showings.

The money raised will help send Lane County veterans to the memorial.
