Hot Afternoons Are Back By The Weekend

Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Wednesday Night Forecast Discussion:

A nice return to a cool, cloudy start across Western Oregon today but sunny skies quickly prevailed and highs moved back into the low 80s. As expected, today was the coolest day of the week, now we’ll start moving back to a hotter forecast by the weekend. Tonight should see mostly clear skies overall with lows dipping back down into the mid to low 50s.

Going into Thursday and Friday, high pressure creeps back in from the Northern Rockies, bringing back upper 80s and low 90s going into the weekend. Speaking of the weekend, there’s not much in the way of change coming, so expect the hot weather to stick well into next week. The one break may be Saturday morning with a weak trough pushing some marine clouds back onshore otherwise, it’s hot and dry for the next five or so days.

Have a great Thursday!
