METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Fog quickly burned of Saturday morning, and right away temperatures climbed into the 80s before noon. High temperature reached the 90s again inland, but the coast stayed cooler in the low 70s.
Sunday and Monday will continue the sunshine with highs near 70 along the coast and low 90s inland. Tuesday will the hottest day of the week with temperatures near 70 along the coast, mid 90s for the Willamette Valley and Cascades, and upper 90s, near 100 for the Umpqua Basin.
We’ll have a chance for some pop up thunderstorms starting Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon, mainly along the Cascades and in Douglas County.
We’ll slightly cool off for the 4th of July, Thursday; high temperatures will be in the mid 60s along the coast and mid 80s inland.
