Happy Monday! I hope you had a fantastic weekend, rain or shine! This week is going to contain a lot more “shine” and heat than any other week this year.
Before a strong ridge of high pressure sets up shop early Tuesday, we’ll see one last warm front sneak through western Oregon tonight. Before then we’ll see patchy fog, mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s for the Valley, upper 50s at the Coast and mid to upper 60s in the Umpqua Basin. We’ll see increasing clouds this evening and a chance for a few showers after dinner time.
By Tuesday high pressure will be in full force which will keep us warm, dry and sunny through the end of the week. High temperatures Tuesday will be in the mid 70s, then it’s on to the low to mid 80s for both Wednesday and Thursday.
This high pressure will slowly begin to break down by the end of the week which means its back to the 70s for Friday and 60s for the weekend. We could also see a shower or two pop up this weekend as well.
Have a great day! ~Meteorologist Melissa Frey
