Hot Stuff Sticking Around

Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:

Tonight we’ll slowly cool off after close to a sizzler of a day with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. Tonight, lows will stay mild in the mid to upper 50s and we’ll stay clear overnight as well. The heat is back for Monday and Tuesday even though we’ll start off with some morning clouds both days.

Even though we’ll have a cloudy start for the next couple of days, we’re not breaking the heat anytime soon. Both Monday and Tuesday will see highs back in the low 90s with mostly sunny skies after the morning clouds are gone. By midweek, an approaching trough starts to cool things down for a few days midweek and only just a few degrees into the low end of the 80s. Indications are it’ll only be a quick cooldown and by next weekend, the heat will be back. Again, nothing shocking at this point but still multiple days at 88 or near 90 can take it toll for sure.

Have a great Sunday night!
