Hot Weather for the Week Ahead

METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:

North Bend set a new high temperature record today of 79 degrees; this beat the old record of 78 degrees.

Eugene tied its high temperature record of 96 today.

Sunshine will continue Monday with highs in the mid 70s along the coast and mid 90s inland. Tuesday will the hottest day of the week with temperatures in the upper 70s along the coast, mid 90s for the Willamette Valley and Cascades, and upper 90s, near 100 for the Umpqua Basin.

We’ll have a chance for some pop-up thunderstorms starting Monday afternoon through Thursday afternoon, mainly along the Cascades and in Douglas County.

We’ll slightly cool off for the 4th of July, Thursday; high temperatures will be in the mid 60s along the coast and mid 80s inland.

Next weekend continues to be sunny and dry with highs in the mid 60s along the coast and mid 80s inland.
