METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Even warmer air moved in Friday. High temperatures climbed into the 90s inland and near 70 along the coast. Friday’s temps are a good indication of what to expect this weekend and next week as high pressure remains in control.
We’ll see slightly cooler highs Saturday as onshore flow in the morning should bring some fog across the area. High temperatures will still climb near 70 along the coast, near 90 in the Willamette Valley and Cascades foothills, and low to mid 90s in the Umpqua Basin.
Sunday, Monday will continue the sunshine with highs near 70 along the coast and low 90s inland. Tuesday will the hottest day of the week with temperatures near 70 along the coast, mid 90s for the Willamette Valley and Cascades, and upper 90s, near 100 for the Umpqua Basin.
We’ll have a chance for some pop up thunderstorms starting Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon, mainly along the Cascades and in Douglas County.
We’ll slightly cool off for the 4th of July, Thursday; high temperatures will be in the mid 60s along the coast and mid 80s inland.
Have a wonderful Weekend!
