Hult Center Celebrates 30 Years

EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene landmark is celebrating a major milestone this year. The Hult Center for the Performing Arts opened 30 years ago.

It commemorated the occasion Tuesday with the unveiling of a unique art installation.

It’s called the Hult 30 Post-It Wall. It includes hand-written memories, moments and experiences from community members.

“I hate the thought of taking it down since we just put it up. But when we do that, I hope that the Post-Its extend out about six inches on top of each other and that it’s just a frenzy of Post-Its,” said Karm Hagedorn, Cultural Services Division Director.

If you want to share your Hult Center stories, you can stop by and write on Post-It.

Thanks for the coverage, KEZI! It was great to have so many people here to kick off “the wall.” The question posed to me was about my expectations for the wall when it’s time to remove it at the end of the season. In the meantime, I hope everyone takes the opportunity to post.
