Racers could either run a four mile course or walk two miles. Some people came in costumes and slowly worked their way through the course, while others ran quickly.
It’s not only a fun family oriented race, but also raises money for St. Vincent De Paul and Food for Lane County. “Families come out, we’ve got some people in costumes all ages really show up for this and it’s a great way to start the day,” said Alicia Hines, Food for Lane County spokesperson.
Food for Lane County said all the money raised at the race comes at a time when the food bank is most at need. Next weekend it’ll be collecting food during the letter carrier’s food drive.
