SUTHERLIN, Ore. — An afternoon crash on I-5 killed a 51-year-old woman who appeared to be crossing the interstate.
The wreck was just after four Tuesday in the southbound lanes. Oregon State Troopers say a woman started to run from the shoulder towards the median.
A commercial truck driver tried to miss her. She was hit by the trailer’s rear wheels and killed.
The interstate remained closed for several hours tonight as troopers rebuilt the crash. It is now back open.
