LAS VEGAS, NV — Despite a strong start in it’s Pac-12 Tournament Quarterfinal showdown against UCLA, Oregon fell flat in the second half, and lost badly to the Bruins 82-63, the Ducks worst defeat of the season and ending their eight-game winning streak.
Joseph Young had a game high 29 points, but it wasn’t enough as Oregon (23-9) shot just 35.5% in the second half, after only trailing 37-35 at halftime. This performance comes just a day after the Ducks shot over 80% from the field against Oregon State.
Jordan Adams led UCLA (24-8) with 15 points. The Bruins will face Stanford in one of the semifinal’s tomorrow.
Oregon will now have to wait Sunday to see if it will be one of the 68 teams selected to the NCAA Tournament.
