In Like a Lamb out Like a Lion

METEOROLOGIST MELISSA FREY’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:

The average high temperature in Eugene today is 74 degrees. If it seems like that number is falling quickly, you’re right, it is. We started the month with an average high of 81 degrees, and by this time next month, the average high will be just 60 degrees. Fall in western Oregon could be described just the opposite as March “In like a lamb, out like a lion.”

With high pressure overhead and no storms headed our way, we’ll continue to stay mostly sunny and dry. Clear nights will mean a likely chilly and foggy start to the day, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. The temperature will be highly dependent on how much fog forms, and how quickly it breaks each day. We should make it to the mid to upper 70s.

A cold front is tracking to move in Friday night, but by the time it gets here it’s not looking very impressive. A few clouds early Saturday will likely be the most we see.

High pressure looks to rebound and grow even stronger Sunday and Monday. This would bringing temperatures close to 80 degrees under sunny skies for Sunday and Monday.

Have a great Tuesday!
