InStove Hosts Open House

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — A Cottage Grove nonprofit is sending stoves to third-world countries, and it’s letting community members learn about its business Tuesday night.

InStove is having an open house at its plant at 5:30 p.m.

In the past few years, the company’s made more than 1,000 cookstoves that are used in more than 20 different companies. For InStove, the plant in Cottage Grove is just a piece of the overall mission of the company.

“The idea is to not only spread our stoves but also the ability to create the stoves so that local countries create stoves to meet their own demands,” said Adam Creighton, Development Coordinator.

People heading to the plant will get a look at how it makes the stoves and brings this technology to other parts of the world.
