Interview: Big “O” Tournament

EUGENE, Ore. — Local roller derby is sport has evolved over the past few years.

This year, the Emerald City Roller Girls are co-hosting the second annual Big O Tournament.

It’s big. Teams are arriving from around the world to participate.

Travel Lane County estimates it will generate an economic impact of at least $582,000.

Kelly Boylen aka Boylen on the Track, a player and promoter of roller derby, joined KEZI 9 News live in the studio to talk about this weekend’s tournament.

The bouts are May 17-19 at the Lane Events Center.
