Interview: Block Kids Competition

UPDATE: Due to the winter storm, the 2014 Block Kids Competition has been postponed until Feb. 15. Parents can still register their children by calling the Science Factory at (541) 682-7888.

EUGENE, Ore. — What can you make with building blocks? Local kids are invited to take the challenge this weekend. Once again, the Science Factory along with Chapter 77 of the National Association of Women in Construction are hosting the 2014 Block Kids Competition.

Emily Shelton with the Science Factory and last year’s champion, Andrew McFarland, joined us live in the studio for KEZI 9 News This Morning to tell us more about the free event.

It takes place February 8 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Valley River Center. It’s preferred that you register by Friday, February 7. For more information, click here.
