EUGENE, Ore. — Coming up in just two days is the annual “Docs and Ducks” fundraiser to benefit the Cascade Medical Group. It’s happening during the Oregon-Stanford football game, and it’s all about giving somebody the chance to have a potentially life-saving surgery.
The Cascade Medical Group provides charity medical work to needy patients in Guatemala. They perform hundreds of surgeries every year, including cataract removal, cleft lip repair, and many other kinds.
Dropping by the KEZI 9 News in the Morning studio was Dr. Deb Dotters, an organizer for the event, to explain more.
The event starts at 4 p.m. at Chambers Communications. In addition to the watch party, there will be food, drinks and raffle items.
Tickets cost $15, but you must purchase online at the Docs and Ducks web site.
