Interview: Julie Chu

EUGENE, Ore. — Julie Chu is a three-time Olympic ice hockey medalist and four-time world championship gold winner.

Julie started playing hockey at age 8 after an unsuccessful attempt at figure skating. Eventually she became the first Asian-American woman to play for the U.S. Olympic ice hockey team in the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Julie and her mother, Miriam, spoke to KEZI 9 News This Morning via satellite to discuss her training, her childhood and her “Bring it On” campaign.
