SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Friends and family of Casey Wright, the Eugene woman allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, are now raising money for victims of domestic violence through a Go Fund Me website.

Springfield police say they found Wright’s body in her boyfriend Robert Cromwell’s home Saturday morning. Investigators say Cromwell walked into the McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center and told staff he just killed his girlfriend.

The couple’s Facebook pages show they were engaged, but police believe that may not have been together at the time of this dispute. Cromwell is lodged in the Lane County Jail facing murder charges.

Peggy Whalen, Executive Director at Womenspace joined us live on KEZI 9 News Midday to talk about the reality of domestic violence in Lane County and how people can get help if they are a victim of domestic violence or know a victim.
